Les Alumni Days reviennent en 2023 à Phoenix, Arizona !
Du 20 au 22 octobre 2023, retrouvons nous à Phoenix pour le rendez-vous annuel des groupes alumni nord-américain des écoles Centrale et CentraleSupélec.

- conférences sur des sujets d'actualité l'après-midi :

As dean of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering since 2016, Dr. Squires is focused on experiential opportunities, innovation, with a focus on electronics, robotics, cyber, communications. He is a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering. He obtained his PhD from Stanford University studying turbulence and computational fluid dynamics.

Mr. Banifatemi coordinates XPRIZE AI. As an AI thought leader and specialist, he identifies and develops emerging initiatives in the field. He has managed private companies and venture funds and is at the forefront of AI projects in the Bay Area and beyond. Mr. Banifatemi holds an MBA from HEC Paris.
Yisong Yue, PhD
Professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences

Dr. Yue is a professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at CalTech. He focuses on machine learning from theory to application. Currently on a sabbatical at Latitude AI, a well advanced autonomous vehicle venture, Dr. Yue works on behavior modeling and motion planning. He got his PhD from Cornell University.
Jean-Marc Fellous, PhD
Professor of cognition and neural systems & director computational and experimental laboratory
Univerisity of Arizona
Dr. Fellous is a professor of cognition and neural systems and director computational and experimental laboratory at the University of Arizona, Tucson. He focuses on neural bases of human spatial navigation, use of rat behaving preparations, optogenetics to understand neural mechanisms and its applications to robotics. Dr. Fellous graduated from École Centrale de Marseille, holds a MS in AI from Paris VI and a PhD in computer science from University of Southern California.
Joan Koerber-Walker

Mrs Koerber-Walker has been instrumental in pushing forward public and private investments in health sciences. The number of startups in the Valley has exploded, now counting hundreds a year. She graduated with an MBA from Arizona State University and had a successful career in the electronic industry before taking her current role.
Joshua LaBaer, MD PhD

ASU Biodesign Institute
Dr. LaBaer has been in his current role since 2016. Under his leadership, ASU quickly developed a successful Covid diagnostic test, widely used in Arizona. He also guided the CXFEL project, a revolutionary compact X-Ray free electron laser. His personal area of interest is personalized diagnostics, particularly applied to cancer. He was founder and director of Harvard Institute of Proteomics. He got both his MD and PhD from UCSF. He worked and taught in the field of oncology at Dana Farber and Harvard med school.
Karim Belarbi, PhD

Dr. Belarbi monitors science and technology in the SouthWest and is a big supporter of health science research in Arizona. He promotes bilateral partnerships between France and the US. Prior to his current position, he was professor at Lille University, France. He graduated from École Doctorale Biologie Santé Lille with a focus on pharmacology.
Jan Stepanek, MD MPH

Mayo Clinic
Dr. Stepanek studies the effect of clinical and operational problems linked to spatial disorientation, for instance for astronauts and fighter jet pilots. His team works closely with NASA and the Air Force. He also focuses on vestibular research: disorientation, oxygen dépravation, trauma, etc. He is an associate professor of medicine and has received many awards in aerospace medicine. He got his MD from University of Basel and interned at Mayo Clinic.
Anthony Dezilva, PhD
Dr. Dezilva is an Enterprise Architect at World Wide Technology and serves as the Chief Architect of ACTRA (Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance). Former sub-committee member of the governor’s Arizona Cybersecurity Team (ACT), he serves on various boards. Being also a teacher, he actively participates in developing cybersecurity awareness, including the importance of the social contract that organizations create with their customers to protect their data. Dr. Dezilva is a CISSP since 2013 and graduated with an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
